Abstract

In this case report, we present a patient in whom stage 1 hypertensive retinopathy was detected during an eye examination, leading to a subsequent diagnosis of hypertension. Further investigations revealed unilateral renal artery stenosis. The patient underwent percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and renal artery stenting. Following the procedure, the patient’s blood pressure returned to normal, and there was no longer a need for antihypertensive therapy. This case aims to draw attention to the secondary causes of hypertension and their management.

Keywords:
Renal artery stenosis, secondary hypertension, renal angioplasty
